Egyptologist Robert Bauval and astrophysicist Thomas Brophy marshal anthropological, geological, genetic, and astronomical evidence for their claim that an advanced Black African culture — the "Cattle People" of the prehistoric Sahara — laid the foundations of pharaonic Egypt. Central to the book is Nabta Playa, a stone calendar circle and ceremonial site in the Nubian desert far older than Stonehenge. Published by Bear & Company in 2011, it argues that the genesis of Egyptian civilization, and of the human story itself, was Black African.
