In this volume, Rogers marshals historical records, portraits, and biographical detail to argue that people of African ancestry run through the family lines of European royalty, nobility, and celebrated figures — evidence, in his hands, that the supposed color line has no basis in fact. Written outside the academy and published by Rogers himself, the book capped decades of his self-directed research aimed at restoring Black contributions to world history. It was reprinted by Wesleyan University Press in 2011.
