Chicago journalist and poet Gregory Walker ("Brother G") built the series from years of research into African legends, archaeology, and linguistics, and the books have been used in rites-of-passage and martial-arts programs and in schools, with teacher's guides issued alongside. Book One is subtitled The African Hero of the Trojan War and the Keys to Ancient World Civilization; Book Three is African Atlantis Unbound.
