Volume 3 of Dr. Ben-Jochannan's African Origins set — the "Need for a Black Bible" volume — extends his argument that the religions of the Western world grew out of African, above all Nile Valley, spiritual systems. Issued by Alkebu-lan Books alongside the set's companion volumes, it presses the case for approaching scripture and religious study from an African foundation. The set stands in the direct line of his African Origins of the Major "Western Religions" (1970).
Author: Yosef Ben-Jochannan · Original publisher: Alkebu-lan Books (New York), 1970 (issued with the African Origins set; a separate year for Vol. 3 is not established)
