Historian and world traveler Runoko Rashidi documents the African presence across Asia, from the ancient Black populations of early Asia to the African soldiers, sailors, scholars, and communities of India, China, and Southeast Asia. Drawing on photographs, museum collections, and his own journeys to more than one hundred countries, the book extends his "Global African Presence" research to the East. It is the companion volume to his Black Star: The African Presence in Early Europe.
